Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 19, 2014

Senior Information Governance Consultant, Tina Teree Baker, will share best practices and lessons learned at the monthly Technology Forum meeting of the Project Management Institute (PMI). The event on August 26, 2014 is part of the group’s ongoing commitment to supporting members in their quest to identify the best ways to leverage state-of-the-art technology. Baker’s presentation, titled “When managing the selection of an Enterprise Content Management solution, have you considered…,” will cover strategies for developing a Request for Proposal and then effectively managing the identification, selection, and negotiation of an electronic document and records management solution. Additionally, she will discuss quantitative and qualitative methods, risk mitigation, and the pros and cons of various decisions made throughout the process.

Ms. Baker has a master’s-level designation in electronic records management, is an honors graduate of Georgia State University, and has served as an Executive Officer of Cadence Group since 1988. She has over 25 years’ experience managing information management projects. As a systems architect for clients such as IBM, she consulted on the design and implementation of solutions for financial institutions and has managed information governance and systems implementation projects across a wide range of industries.

“Supporting the professional development goals of the PMI Technology Forum is a wonderful opportunity to share the dynamic changes we are seeing as our community works to address the challenges associated with the exponential growth of unstructured information. The role of information governance in creating sustainable and scalable infrastructures is becoming even more critical,” shared Baker. “Evaluating and selecting tools to support the business processes performed by information workers is a key component of an efficient organization.”
