Cadence Group is seeking an experienced librarian/researcher in New York City.  This person will be reporting to the information resources manager.  The candidate will be responsible for providing expert reference and research services and will lead and/or provide support for local and firm wide library projects and initiatives. 

Must have extensive experience with using complex legal, business, and scientific research and reference using print and online resources.  Must possess advanced knowledge of databases and technology used in the library and be able recommend new information resources and technologies.  Candidate must be able to educate and advise attorneys and paralegals on sources and strategies for research.  Will act as a mentor and provide guidance to junior librarians and other library staff.  Facilitates interlibrary loan and document delivery from a wide variety of free and commercial third party providers to complete reference assignments. 

Qualified candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Library Science and/or Information Science or Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience as a reference librarian in a law firm or corporate setting.  Experience using LexisNexis, Westlaw, CourtLink, Dun & Bradstreet, GSI and Hoovers.
