Cadence Group is looking for medical librarians in the Washington, DC, Virginia and Maryland area(s).  Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Develops and maintains library facilities. 
• Provides reference services including database searching. 
• Supports medical staff by locating information using electronic resources. 
• Is responsible for collection development, acquisitions and cataloging of all library materials and maintenance of library. 
• Delegates and monitors library volunteers. 
• Provides interlibrary loan and document delivery services by locating and obtaining materials not available by utilizing various print and electronic resources.

Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in Library Science from ALA-accredited school
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in healthcare environment with experience in medical-related literature and database searching, interlibrary loan/document delivery methods and cataloging.

Skills and Abilities: Excellent written, oral, analytical, organizational and leadership skills a must.  Proven ability to proactively identify issues and diplomatically resolve problems. 

Technological Skills: Experience with Library Information Systems.  Proficiency with applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
