ATLANTA – On Wednesday, May 25th, 2016 Tina Teree Baker and Tishangi Bennett will join a roster of speakers at ARMA Atlanta’s free, full-day seminar “Records in the News”. The RIM 101 series focuses on best practices and new innovations in records management in the face of recent headlines, providing insights and development for new and established RIM professionals in the Atlanta area.

Ms. Baker will discuss technology that supports proactive information governance and  defensible cleanup of information R.O.T. – Redundant, Obsolete, and Trivial. Ms. Bennett will discuss best practices in Records and Information Management Policy, Standards, and Retention.

Tina Teree Baker, ERMM, President of Cadence Group – a Records and Information Management firm – since 1988.  She leads over 50 employees creating efficient, compliant, and adaptable information governance solutions for federal agencies and global corporations across a broad range of industry and size.  She brings 25 years of experience leading teams in developing and operationalizing world class records and information management programs. She has a master’s designation in Electronic Records Management.

Ms. Baker is a National Partner for Women Impacting Political Policy and is a past recipient of the Enterprising Woman of the Year Award. She is an active member of the Association of Records Managers and Archivists and regularly speaks on topics such as governance programs, sustainable compliance, electronically stored information management, and defensible destruction.
