Cadence Group Launches In-forté
This Self-Service Information Model Gives Companies Competitive Advantage
and Increased ROI in People and Technology

ATLANTA, GA June 4, 2003 – Cadence Group®, a 15-year old, Atlanta-based, information management company, recently launched In-forté, an enterprise outsourcing solution designed to help businesses stay competitive by lowering content acquisition and management costs. In-forté is a self-service information model that allows companies to reduce the costs of content procurement while improving access to highly qualified information from an unlimited number of content sources such as Gartner, Forrester and Thomson Financial.

According to the market research firm IDC, Fortune 500 companies will “…lose more than $31.5 billion between 2001 and 2003, due in large part to the inability to quickly find information they need.” In addition, 90 percent of global companies surveyed also said their competitiveness is directly affected by problems finding information.

Tina Baker, president of Cadence Group, says, “According to a study by MIT, the volume of information available to business is doubling every 11 hours between now and 2010. With that amount of data, companies need to be able to cut through information clutter and purchase only what’s essential to their business processes.”

“Employees need to be able to both search and browse a single-source, and yet have the ability to rely on research support only for that 10-20 percent of the time when self-service does not provide them with the information they need. All of this is provided with In-forté: prudent content acquisition, self-service and research support," Baker added.

By consolidating external and internal content into one centralized database, In-forté organizes and disseminates information while leveraging enterprise-wide purchasing power and eliminating costly redundancies. In-forté uses “push” technology that automatically alerts users, by e-mail, to new content on the topic of their choosing, eliminating lag time and increasing competitive advantage. In addition, the In-forté outsourcing solution improves ROI by working with technologies most companies already have in place, such as Oracle, Java, SQL Server and various document management systems and search engines.

In-forté is currently available to clients throughout the United States. Additional information is available at http://www.cadence-group.com/inforte.htm.
